Ramona’s Restaurant: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Beaumont

Love this place! I was on a time crunch and they were super helpful about that. Got the taco salad which is a good little fix before the rest of the day, though nothing super special. Love the chips and salsa. Horchata is 10/10 highly recommend.

Stopped here on the way to a conference in Arizona, one of the few restaurants open at 7:30 in the area on a Tuesday. The kid running the front desk looked like he had lost a dog or relative and was more annoyed than welcoming. He told us to sit wherever we'd like, I grabbed the only open booth. A few minutes later, he comes over with menus looks at me and walks straight back with menus still in hand. No "welcome" or "thank you for coming", nothing. So odd I thought, but then he came right back and said "can you get up, I have to clean this table?" No "I'm sorry, I have to clean this" or "please allow me to clean this." Again, super odd welcome. A few minutes went by and this really nice server came to our table and things were perfect from that point on. She was welcoming, told us about the song playlist we were enjoying, and laughed a joke a told about my wife being from Orange County. The carne asada was delicious, my wife had what looked like a giant flauta and a taco. She ordered a margarita that was nearly overflowing (definitely not complaining). We'd go here again for sure. I'd have to guess that it is the best restaurant in the area, great food and a cool little atmosphere.

Stopped in here for the first time as we were driving through. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely return! The food is excellent and the service was good and very friendly. The tacos, tostada, ect come out without salsa so you can add whichever is your favorite. I loved this! My husband likes food much spicier than I do and we were both able to enjoy our food just the way we like it. If you are drive ng through and looking for good Mexican food I suggest that you stop by.

Had a wonderful dinner. The food tasted good.. The waitress is over worked for sure! Hard to get service at your table once food is served as 1 waitress was taking care of the whole place plus being cashier! She needs a raise for sure! She did a wonderful job for what she was dealing with and had a pleasant attitude and a smile that made you feel like you were an important customer..we will be back for sure....

Ramonas is a great place to eat high-quality and delicious food . Great customer service, and the ambiance is very nicely designed.

My wife and had lunch here. Kind of a rustic, authentic and unique place to eat. They’ve been located here for a very long time so the food is decent but not the best I’ve ever had. They have a health department rating of “A” posted in the window so that is always a plus. The chili Riano is good but it’s not made from a fresh chili. It’s made from a canned chili. The rice is OK. The tacos are good. I had the tacos El Pastor, which was good but I wanted more of it. The hot salsa is more of a pickled jalapeño salsa just put in the blender. when we went there, the place was fairly busy. The service was good. The price was fair and the food was decent. Just kind of an interesting place to eat because of the building. The food I would rate probably at three stars and average, but I gave them four because I liked the building and they had an “A” rating from the health department.

This was my first time trying this place. I called in to place an order, but I was put on hold and ended up waiting about 20 minutes. On the bright side, after I hung up, they were kind enough to call me back, and I was able to place my order. I ordered a carne asada burrito (with rice and beans) and a kid’s meal—an enchilada with rice and beans. The kid’s meal was great! It was a generous portion, and the taste was amazing—definitely a 10/10. However, the carne asada burrito was disappointing. The beans and rice were good, but the meat tasted more like al pastor than carne asada. I’m not sure if they mixed up the meat, but it didn’t meet expectations, so I’d give it a 6/10. The restaurant seems very busy and appears to be short-staffed. The staff was friendly, but they could definitely use more help to improve the overall experience.

Delicious,fresh Mexican cuisine and the servers were very friendly and helpful-everything is cooked to order. Family friendly and in a word-DELICIOUS! They made our family visit at the annual "Top line Industrial Supply" car,truck,motorcycle and boat show in Beaumont,California that much better! Thanks Ramona's!
